turbinas eolicas

To meet future energy demand through renewable energy sources, the electricity sector will face a massive deployment of wind and solar photovoltaic technologies.

Wind turbine blades are currently manufactured from glass or carbon fibre reinforced composites by vacuum infusion, and in many cases are structurally composed by sandwich foam cores. Fibre-reinforced polymer composites are characterised by their higher strength and lower weight, which has made them the ideal metal substitute in this type of manufacturing, although we can extrapolate to most part of industrial sectors today.
