It is here where composite materials take special relevance thanks to its high strength, stiffness and toughness in relation to their low density, as well as their low thermal transmission. 

Another great advantage of composite materials, is that they can adopt much more complex shapes, compared, for example, with metallic materials, which will reduce the number of parts needed to complete any design, and will also provide greater safety, since by reducing the parts number, we reduce at the same time the number of joints and rivets, which are usually the weakest points of that kind of developments.
